Chip maker Texas Instruments is raising its profit outlook for the third quarter.
The company said Wednesday it now expects earnings per share between 37 cents and 41 cents in the three months to Sept. 30, up from a range between 29 cents and 39 cents that it expected in July.
The company also raised its revenue outlook for the quarter to between $2.73 billion and $2.87 billion. It had earlier seen sales between $2.50 billion and $2.80 billion.
Shares fell 14 cents to $25 in after-hours trading, after rising 8 cents to $25.14 in the regular session.
